The various Drawdown Sectors featured on the first day of the conference do not exist in isolation. They interact with each other and are bound by constraints across dimensions of mass, energy, and time, and they differ across the globe due to variations in human as well as biophysical systems. The demarcation of system boundaries and the coupling between sectors, therefore, requires careful consideration of both technical and human factors. Following this plenary talk and facilitated discussion with the Project Drawdown Senior Fellows, there will be a set of workshops designed to address these challenges and advance the science of modeling Drawdown solutions in complex and coupled human and natural systems.
